The Sun is Back!!

Last week we finally had a couple sunny days and the kids were so excited to get outside and play so we headed to the park.

 

 

 

Happy Birthday John

Last week was John's Birthday and like all adults he had to work on his birthday, but with is crazy work schedule he was out of town and ended up flying in that night.

Because it was late when he got home we had a small party with a hamburger cake.

 The kids put on a little show they had been working on.

 

 Then he opened one of his gifts that was sent to him from my parents.(thanks for the paper weight)

 On Sunday we had his family party and we had a nice afternoon eating dinner and visiting with each other.

We all pitched in and bought him a new watch and a tool kit, one he needed and one he wanted. Things have been very busy around here lately so it was nice to spend a day hanging out together celebrating John's Birthday.  Happy Birthday John we all love you so much!!!!

Evening at the Circus

Last week we were invited to go with Johns parents to a small circus that came to their town.

We had a good time and it wasn't a long show but it was nice to get out together.  The kids love to hang out with their Nana and Papa and they even treated the kids to a fun light up toy to take home.  It was a fun night out spent together and that's how we like it!!

Soccer Champs

Saturday was Katie and Aaron's championship indoor soccer game.

 Aaron played his best game yet and was so good on defense. Katie has a blast and tries so hard every minute she plays.

 Katie ended up playing the whole game and she really helped the team win the game with an assist on the teams only goal.

 

They ended up winning 1-0 and we had a great time watching them.

Their team played really well and they deserved to win the game.  Katie and Aaron were very proud to show off their trophies and they were so happy to be on the same team and share their win together.  Great Job Katie and Aaron.

End of March Recap

We have had a very busy end of the month so I thought I could do a quick recap all in one post.

I love to decorate so we had a fun Sunday afternoon putting up Easter decorations.

It seems like the winter that will never end and being the end of March and still having snow covering the ground makes an egg hunt all the more challenging but that's what we did and the kids had a blast.  They were cold and wet when we went home but they all got some candy and that made them happy.

All 3 kids teams made it to the play-offs for indoor soccer and both games were so good and very close.  Zach's team lost in round 2 in a very close hard fought game.

Katie and Aaron's team has made it to the final game.  In the last regular season game Katie made 2 goals, and an assist, they won 3-0. In their last game Aaron got his very first goal ever and it made his day!!! We are excited for their last game this coming weekend.

We rounded out our weekend waking up Easter morning to full baskets and lots of eggs hidden around the house.

Easter is such a fun day, but with us having to rush the kids through it all so we can make it to Church on time is a challenge and makes the morning feel rushed, but they had fun and enjoyed all the fun gifts they received.

The kids looked so cute in their church clothes and Katie looked very nice in her new dress.  It was a fun, but busy day and we were glad to enjoy an evening with our family eating some yummy food and visiting with family. We are looking forward to some Spring like weather so we can get out of the house again.
