Happy Birthday Aaron

Today is Aaron's 7th Birthday!!!
John had to head back to NY so we had His party Sunday.
He got to open a couple gifts one from the family, a Caption America to go with his Iron Man.
Grandma and Grandpa Webb sent him a monkey swim suit and he was so excited!!!
Aaron also received a card in the mail from Nana and Papa and it was a cool monkey card and he loved it!

We had some ice cream cake to finish off the night. It was a fun evening celebrating Aarons special day.  Happy Birthday Aaron!!

Zachs Chorus Concert

Last week Zach has his Spring Chorus Concert at the Middle School.
There are very few boys so it's nice to see Zach right in front having a good time.
Grandma and Grandpa Shattuck were able to come and support him and they really enjoyed watching him. Zach was so grateful they came since his dad was in NY starting his new job.
We got front row seats and Zach ended up standing right in front of us.  Katie and Aaron had a good time watching Zach and they even knew a couple songs he sang and that made it fun for them.

Here is a short video of the end of Zach's last song he sang.  Great Job Zach!!!

Pinewood Derby

Last week Zach had his Pinewood Derby and he did really well and he made his car all on his own and that made me proud.
They had a good time deciding on a shape for the car and Zach did a great job sanding it down.
He picked red to paint the car and even added a black racing stripe on it.
He found some cool stickers and it was ready to go.
His car wasn't heavy enough so we had to add some weight to it.  He didn't end up coming in the top 3 but he did really well and we know how much work he put into his car and that's all that really matters.
Nana came along to watch the race and he loved having her cheer him on.  Great Job Zach!!!

Big Changes For our Family

Well, it has been an interesting road the past two months. The company that I was working for, Coca-Cola, had recently announced some organizational changes that may impact some internal jobs. Unfortunately, one of those positions eliminated happen to impact me and my family. The company did allow us time to re-post for other internal positions but I also took the opportunity to look for external positions with other companies as well. I was extremely blessed and fortunate to be given an opportunity with another organization that many of you may know as the #1 Breakfast Cereal Company in North America known as Kellogg's. I was actually given a significant pay increase, with additional bonus/pay incentives, to come on board the Kellogg's Team. I also was provided a Full Relocation package for my family and I as the position is located in Orangeburg, NY. I am extremely excited for this opportunity as I have heard often that in life, "When one door closes, another door opens" and this door that opened actually turns out to be a huge blessing to our family. The negative part is having to make the decision to move further away from our family AGAIN. Not as far as my wife and I have decided to move as in years past but yet again, in another state. I feel very fortunate to have been provided such a great opportunity for another great company and look forward to the challenges that will come as a part of the Kellogg's Team!
