Getting Ready For Halloween

The last few holidays we have been slacking in putting up decorations so I wanted to be on the ball this year so we started early with our Halloween decorating.

We don't have much but we have a great time working together to get everything up.

My mom gave me a few of the wall pictures from when I was a kid a while back and my kids seem to have as much fun deciding where to put them up as I did when I was a kid.

Zach and Katie did a good job with our blow up decorations.

Aaron has a good time just being able to help in any way he can.

The kids came up with this picture idea wanting to hang the spider and act scared. We had a fun time working together to get our house ready for Halloween! Can't wait to get our pumpkins now!

Homework Time

We now have homework time in our home and sometimes that is a challenge.

Both Zach and Katie have homework, but have very different things to do each day.

Zach and Katie work hard to keep up with their work and are doing a great job so far. We have many challenges with both kids at the table at the same time, but we make it through. Great Job Zach and Katie!!!

Last Day at the Pool

I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but have had other things going on I wanted to share so now that things have calmed down and the kids are in school nothing big is going on to post.

We have a wonderful Aunt who has an awesome pool in her back yard who lets us come over as much as we wanted this summer.
Johns Mem & Pep also live there as well.

We have a great time spending many hours at the pool but we also get to spend time with Mem, Pep, and Aunt Joyce.

We have been away for a few years so it is nice to make up for lost time with our family and let the kids get to know their Great Grandparents.

We had a wonderful summer just spending time together.

So thank you Aunt Joyce for a great summer we had a blast!

Day at Six Flags

Since Aaron broke his collar bone we had to put off our trip to six flags, and the kids have been asking like crazy since Aaron got the o.k. from the Dr. to go.

Monday both John and I had the day off from work and now school for the kids, so we decided to take advantage of the day.

We had a great day together. We had never been before so it was all new to us.

They have tons of kid rides and they had a blast. We found out that Aaron is the daring one wanting to go on bigger rides, while Zach and Katie were just fine going on the kid one's.

I did get Zach one one of the bigger coasters (which Aaron wanted to go on but was not big enough) but he said he didn't want to do it again.

Katie's favorite ride ended up being the scrambler. We all loved going on the water rides and it was a warm day so we were glad to have the sun to dry us off after.

Just before leaving they opened a ride that all the kids loved, and they ended up going 3 times before we dragged them out of the park. We had a fun day together and we can't wait to go back again next year.

Fast Recovery

Aaron went to the Dr. last week and he got the go ahead to take off his shoulder brace.

It has only been 3 weeks but his bone is now healed.

This past week we knew he was feeling better and pushing what he could do with his arm.

He has done really well having a broken bone. He is now back to normal use with his arm like nothing happened at all.

First Day of School

Yesterday was the kids first day of school and it was a great day.
Zach is now in the 3rd grade.

Katie is now a first grader.

They both love school and they both couldn't wait to go back. They love the shopping that comes with going back to school as well. Its hard to believe that next year at this time all of my kids will be in school, that's crazy!

It has been very hot and very humid here, which is not good for going back to school. When it is near 100 out is hard on the kids but they have had a fun 2 days. Now we have a 4 day weekend together as a family then its on with the school year, as long as we are missed by the storm that is.
