Playing Dress Up

Katie loves to get all dressed up!

She loves to put on her princesses dresses and run around the house.

When Aaron is in the right mood and Katie is being a nice sister to him, he will join in on the fun (poor guy).

He is a good little brother going along with what Katie wants to do.

He is a good playmate and he loves to be with his sister. Sorry Aaron it's hard to be the little one in the family, but your a very good sport!

SMASH!!!

This morning we were in the kitchen cleaning up after breakfast when we heard a loud crash sound.

This is what we saw when we walked out our front door

We haven't really had any big storms and the tree was healthy so it was crazy how it just decided to come down.

I'm very lucky that my friend was coming over to Visit Teach me this morning, and when she saw what had happened she had her husband and son come down and help me get the tree off the car.

I'm very thankful to the Roberts for coming so quickly to help our family.

Once we got the tree off the car we could really see how bad the car is. The windshield is smashed and the hood of the car needs some work but I think once the windshield is fixed it should drive just fine. It's been one eventful morning to handle all of this while John is off at work, and all of this on a day when we had someone coming to look at our house. At least we have some firewood for our fire pit now. I hope the rest of the day is nice and boring.

He Works....We Play

This summer has been a very hot one so far and we are spending as much time at the pool as we can.

John has to cover when his supervisors are on vacation, so this week was the first of 3 weeks he has to work 6 days.

We feel bad for him, while we are out at the pool having a good time with his family he is working his tail off, or driving in his car.

Our kids love to swim but they love to be played with even more, so when Johns family come out with us the kids have more people to keep them entertained.

We feel bad for John having to work so much right now and the drive just adds to it. We are not having any luck with our house being sold so this is what we have to do for now. Sorry John but we are having a great summer so far.

Trying to Beat the Heat

It has been very hot here for the past few days and there is no other place to spend the day but at the pool.

We are lucky to have an Aunt close by who has a pool and we have spent many days there already.

Zach and Katie are really good swimmers and we have been working with Aaron so I think by the end of the summer I am hoping to have 3 strong swimmers.

Katie and Aaron like to be extra safe so they get fully suited up.(Silly Kids)

It has been a hot and fun summer so far, but there is nothing better than spending a day at the pool.

4th of July weekend

We had a fun weekend this 4th of July. It all started on Friday with a slip and slide party in our front yard . Then on Saturday we went to John's Aunt's who has an in ground swimming pool and hung out there with family for the day. The kids love to swim and are getting better at it each time we go. You can't end a hot day without going out for ice cream, and it way yummy. That night we went to Fitchburg (that's where we lived when we lived here before) to watch fireworks, they were really good and lasted a good half hour, Katie kept asking when the grand finally would be and the ending was by far the best part.

Sunday after church we meet John's parents at a local lake. We brought Cooper and he was so happy not to be left home again. So the dogs and kids had a blast swimming around the lake. We went for a hike around some of the trails they have around the lake, it was a fun time.

We had a full weekend but back to the working world, both John and I have to work today, but we had a wonderful weekend the only thing that went wrong was I forgot the camera both days we went out.
