First Stop Day 1 NYC

For our family vacation this year we decided to do a road trip and our first stop was New York City. We only had 2 days in NYC so we did as much as we could while we were there.

We drove right down town and had fun driving around the crazy traffic, great driving John!

Once we parked the car we walked to Central Park and played baseball in one of the fields, its crazy to see so many trees and green grass but when you look up its surrounded by tall buildings.

There are huge rocks all over the Park so we found one we could all climb up.

We stopped at the playground and had a fun time playing on the toys, even Grandma joined in on the fun!

Our next stop was at the Carousel to ride a horse.

Then we had a snack and walked around the path for a bit .

The kids had a great time chasing after the birds around.

We found our way to the lake and watched people paddle around then we sat down by the fountain and watched the ducks swim around.

Our next stop was the Empire State Building, this is a beautiful engraved picture on the wall in the lobby as we went up to get in line to go to the top.

We took the ride to the top to see the view and it was beautiful! We had fun walking all around the building to see view all around the city.

On our way out we saw this cool picture of the city on the side of the wall and I got a quick picture before they ushered us out to the elevator.

We had to walk back to the subway to get to our car, and since we all got up at 4 a.m. to drive down Aaron was very tired by the end of the day and got a much deserved ride on dad.

As we came up to the street after getting off the subway we walked past the Trump Hotel, what a beautiful and very tall building it is. We had a very busy, but fun first day of vacation and we were in need of some nice long rest to be ready for the next day.
