Halloween Pumpkins

Sunday we had some time to carve our pumpkins for Halloween.

 Its nice that all the kids are big enough to help clean them out and I don't have to do it all by myself.

 John and Zach really got into it and took a stab at making an awesome face!

 Aaron did a great job with his pumpkin.

 Katie had some really good ideas of how to carve her face and it was hard to choose which one we would make.

 They all came out really good and everyone was happy with what they made!

They look even better in the dark.

Earlier that day we went to our Nephew Seany's 2nd Birthday party.  It was fun spending some time with him and Aaron really had fun showing him how all his new toys worked.  It was a stormy day but we were able to have some fun getting ready for Halloween!

Pumpkin Festival

 Last weekend we drove up to Keene NH to go to there Pumpkin Festival and it was awesome!

 There were thousands of pumpkins all around the streets it was amazing how many ways you can carve a pumpkin.

 They had pumpkin bowling and the kids couldn't wait to try.

 

 

 They all took turns and they all did a good job, I think they all got strikes and they all had a good time!

While we were walking down the street they brought a bunch of pumpkins that needed to be put out  so the kids were excited to help with that.

We had a good time looking at all the pumpkins and it was a good day spent together!

Back in the Pool Again

 Katie decided that she wanted to go back to the swim team this year.

She loves to be in the water and her swimming has improved over the past year. She is excited to improve on all of her strokes and she can't wait to learn how to flip turn this year. So we will have many hours sitting pool side this winter watching Katie swim back and forth, Lucky Us!

Work Party

Last week John had a work party and we were able to go and have some fun and meet some of the guys he works with.

 They had this awesome face painter and Katie got this cool butterfly.

 Her eyelids were even painted so it looks cool with her eyes closed.

 Zach got the Patriot sign and the Red Sox B. He is a true New Englander Sports fan.


  Aaron got both sides of his face painted. A baseball and a football he couldn't really decide what he wanted so this is what he came up with but they look cool!

 They also had a balloon guy there and Aaron got 2 different monkeys (he loves monkeys) and Zach got a shark  and a snake the coolest balloon animals I've every seen. It was a fun even though it was raining most of the time.

Fall Yard Clean Up

We are so busy on Saturday's with soccer we had to put off our yard work to Sunday but we all helped out and we got our work done quickly.

  The kids helped with raking the leaves and had a blast doing with the work.

 I was given 2 lilac bushes for my birthday a couple weeks ago so we planted those as well.

 I pitched in and mowed the lawn so John could get help Zach with planting my plants.

 

 The kids got a pile of leaves on the grass so they could jump into it.

It was a cool fall day but the sun was out and we all worked together to get our work done quickly.  The kids love the fall and it was a nice break from our busy weekends to just play in the yard together.

Scarecrow Festivle

 As always we started our Saturday off with a soccer game. Aaron was the only one with a game because of the holiday weekend.  Aaron had a good game and he had his best game yet. His team won 5-0.

 After the game we went to a local apple farm to make our annual scarecrow. Everyone pitched in to help stuff the clothes.

 I think this is our best one yet.

 The kids had a great time jumping into the hay and playing around with Seany.

Once the kids were done in the hay we went to pick some apples.  Its getting to the end of the season to pick  apples so Zach was more than willing to climb the tree and find the apples at the top of the trees.

 Everyone had a good time finding their own apples and we filled our bag pretty quick.

To end our day at the apple farm we went on a tractor ride.  The kids had fun and loved it when we went over the bumps.  It was a  good day spent all together as a family.

Halloween Decorating

We love holidays in our house and we really love to decorate the house. The kids are a huge help and they are allowed to put things where ever they want and they love that!

 

 

 

Now that the house is decorated we are ready for fall to come.  Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and now we can't wait to find a costume for everyone!

Another Soccer Saturday

We had another winning soccer Saturday  this week so far both Katie and Zach's teams are undefeated!!! Aaron's game was canceled due to a wet field so it was straight on to Katie's game.

 

 Katie played and awesome game and even scored a goal, this is her second one this season!

 

They play really hard and it seems that the second half they get a boost of energy and always come back stronger after a short rest.  This week they we tied 2 all going into half time and then ended up winning the game 6-3! Great Job Team Athol!!!

 Zach's team is amazing!!! They all play so hard and so well every week.  They work very well together and are getting better every game.  Zach learns a lot from the other boys and they have a great coach. This week they had a hard fight and it was a close game the whole time. About 2 minutes till the end of the game it was tied at 2 and our team made an amazing goal to win the game!! Great Job Zach!! We have a week off because of the holiday weekend so I will enjoy the time off from sitting out in the cold!
