Katies Super Birthday Adventure Part 1

With Katie's Birthday being just over a week away we decided to have a girls day like we have in the past since we were here in MA with all the girls in the family.
We didn't tell her where we were going just to look cute. Nana and I got her in the car then went and picked up Amanda and Grandma Shattuck.  We drove about an hour to a Mall were she was going crazy trying to figure out what we were doing.

We parked the car and when we walked around the corner she saw the store and went crazy!!!!
When we walked in the door she was so excited and overwhelmed with all that was there to see. She was able to pick out any doll that she wanted so we walked around the first floor where all the dolls with names and stories were. Katie had one doll she kind of liked but wasn't sure and wanted to look at more.
We headed up stairs, (yes there are 2 floors in a store just for dolls, crazy I know) to see the other dolls they had.
The second floor has the dolls they call "just like me dolls" which you can find any combo of eye and hair and skin color to look like you or any look really.  So many choices but she saw 2 she liked and we were able to open the boxes and take a closer look at them.
In the end Katie found the one she wanted,(after going back down stairs and looking one more time of course) she picked one of the "just like me dolls".
Katie was so excited to have the doll and it really did look, just like her. Now that we had the doll we walked around the store again to pick our some clothes for the doll.
Grandma did a good job of helping Katie find some nice outfits and we all had our favorites but in the end Katie had to make the hard decisions.
After walking around the store for what seemed like forever we found a place to sit down and go through what we had put in our bag and decide what we were going to buy for her.  Her number 1 things was a dog she found that looked a lot like Cooper.
We paid for Katie's doll and took her out of the box and that just made Katie all the more excited. Now we had to decide on a name and that proved to be just as difficult as picking the doll.
